In loving memory of Paul Horatio Williams Also known as “Maxie” or “Superfly”)
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Paul Horatio Williams was the beloved child of the late Edith and Sydney Williams. Known affectionately as Maxie or Superfly, he was a man of wisdom, discipline, humor, and undeniable style
As a young man, he made his mark as a talented soccer goalie for Kingston, bringing the same determination and focus to the field that he later carried throughout his life as a devoted provider and protector. The eldest of seven siblings—Saundra Duncan, Marjorie Dunbar, Richard Williams, Wavel Wilson, Donovan Wilson, and Pauline Williams—he naturally embraced the role of leader, mentor, and role model.
He built a successful career as an accountant, but his greatest gift was his ability to guide and uplift others. With his thoughtful advice, sharp wit, and infectious laughter, he touched countless lives and left an impression that will not fade.
A proud father of Asar El (Andrew), Kaydia, Maxine, Shamena, Taniesha, Antoninette, Mavis “Sandy” Pounall, and Andre Williams , he was the heart and foundation of his family. He loved soccer, fishing, politics, computer technology, watching westerns and any occasion that called for a sharp suit, good conversation, and good company.
He cherished his family deeply, especially his many grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and integrity.
Though he has departed this life, his presence will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
