Irina Rubin, 47, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully at home on December 7th, 2025. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, on December 3rd, 1978. Although she often called herself an honorary “Vincy-Ukrainian”, she was deeply proud of her Ukrainian roots and Jewish heritage. Irina Rubin graduated from Forest Hills High School and went to Baruch College, where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology. In the early part of her career, Irina worked in banking before finding her professional home at Metro Plus Health for over 16 years. Irina was known for her remarkable dedication and exceptional work ethic. She took great pride in doing her job and always gave her best. Her colleagues described her not only as a co-worker but an amazing, humorous, and supportive friend.
Outside of work, Irina was a passionate reader, always enjoyed a good cup of coffee every morning, and a good nap. She was a generous person, especially when it came to food.
Although she couldn’t cook, she always made sure her guests were well fed and happy. If you know, you know!!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Regina Rubin; whose love and memories remained a constant presence in her life. She is survived by her devoted and beloved husband of 21 years, Garnol Hepburn; her adored children, Matthew Hepburn and Katherine Hepburn; her loving brother, Brian Rubin; her sister-in-law, Michelle Rubin; her nephew Riley Rubin who she absolutely loved and adored; her devoted grandmother Rita Polyakina, her Aunt Rita Rubina, and her father, Vladimir Rubin. She also leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories among her extended family, friends, and colleagues.
In the last two years, she encountered many difficulties, but she always remained strong and true to herself, even on her last day. Irina will always be remembered for her warmth, humor, and love. We will never forget her, and she will always be missed.
